Economic TURP drainage bag

Abstract

Objective: To assess the use of economic TURP drainage bag.
Design: Prospective, descriptive study.
Materials and methods: The economic TURP drainage bag was used in TURP procedure for 6 months. Data from a questionnaire regarding convenience and effectiveness of the drainage bag completed by 2 urologists and 5 operative nurses were analyzed.
Results: All of the questionaire answers revealed good response in convenience and satisfaction with the use of the economic TURP drainage bag.
Conclusion: The economic TURP drainage bag permits more convenience to urologist and operative nurse during TURP procedure and is cost-effective for the hospital.
