Happiness and Commitment to the Organization’s Personnel, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine Prince of Songkla University.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of happiness at work, organization commitment and confidence in the leadership and management among staff working in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University. The researcher sampled 54 personnel from the department and asked them to complete a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Kruskal-Wallis was used to analyze the relationship between personal factors and happiness at work, organization commitment and confidence in the leadership and management of the Department Heads.

Results revealed that: happiness at work, organization commitment and confidence in the leadership and management of the Department of the personel were at high level with a mean of3.73, 4.08 and 3.78 respectively. From the comparison of personel factors towards happiness at work, organization commitment and confidence in the leadership and management of the Department Heads, it was found that people with different line of work had different mean of organizational commitment and confidence in the leadership and management of the Department Heads. People with different length of working had different mean of organizational commitment.
